We had Jersey Day for GOAL on Friday 13th October. We raised €58!
Slatta NS took part in the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Team Hope share the Shoebox Gifts with children in Africa and Eastern Europe.
We at Slatta NS are delighted to be involved with Team Hope, bringing excitement and laughter to children in need at Christmas.
The students and families of Slatta school decided in light of the Syrian refugee crisis to collect items for shipping to help the needy people of Syria. So we sent lots of warm clothing to the Goal organisation….Coats, blankets , etc. and the rest of the items were forwarded to a voluntary group in Ardagh Co.Longford who in conjunction with Kiernan steel were sending a container of essential items for the afflicted people. Clothes that were not suitable for this purpose were sold for cash for clobber and the money was used to make 20 first aid bags. Any other money will be donated to GOAL … Thank you all!
